Meet the team

The Knowledge Exchange has a team of expert research and information professionals with professional and academic experience covering the breadth of social and public policy. 

 

Morwen Johnson, Head of the Knowledge Exchange

Morwen leads the Knowledge Exchange and is an experience researcher, project manager and information professional. She manages client relationships and partnership development, covering our subscription intelligence services and specialist research and content production. She also manages delivery of outsourced information services for the Greater London Authority. Morwen is Managing Editor of the journal Scottish Planning & Environmental Law; and is partner lead for the database Social Policy & Practice. She has been with Idox for 13 years, and prior to this she worked at the King's Fund.

Christine Eccleson, Customer Development Manager

Christine has worked for Idox for over 16 years and now works alongside Laura Hughes to manage, develop and coordinate our programme of customer contact and development. Christine works to provide useful analysis and reporting on how the Information Service is being used and responds to feedback, suggestions or complaints.

Donna Gardiner, Research Officer/Journals Manager

Donna is responsible for maintaining our coverage of public sector management information and also manages our serials collection. Before joining us Donna graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a MSc in Library and Information Studies, and published her research in a leading peer-reviewed journal.

Heather Cameron, Research Officer/Enquiries Manager

Heather is responsible for managing and ensuring the quality of our Ask a Researcher enquiry service. This involves ensuring that the team have the resources and knowledge needed to provide our expert enquiry service. She is also a subject specialist in economic development.

James Carson, Research Officer

James has been working for The Knowledge Exchange since June 2012. Prior to joining Idox, he was an information officer for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, and has also developed information services for Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and the Scottish Arts Council. James is our subject specialist for housing and the environment. He is editor of the Knowledge Exchange blog.

Laura Hughes, Customer Development Manager

Laura is the Information Service’s joint Customer Development Manager and has worked for the Information Service for over 14 years. Before joining Idox, Laura worked for the University of Strathclyde Environmental Planning department as a Researcher, and then Forward Scotland as a Sustainable Communities Officer. In her current role, Laura works to ensure that all Information Service clients receive the very best customer experience.

Mhari Glen, Information and Communications Assistant

Mhari joined our team in 2015, providing efficient and friendly support to our members, especially those using our document delivery and journals service.

Rebecca Jackson, Research Officer

Rebecca joined us in 2015 after graduating from the University of Stirling with a Masters in Public Policy. She is the subject specialist for health and social care, and delivers training for our members. She also supports our publication and communications programme, including social media.

Stacey Dingwall, Projects and Training Manager

Stacey joined the Knowledge Exchange in 2012 after completing a PGDip in Information and Library Studies. Stacey is the education and skills subject specialist and she also manages two of our key projects, Evaluations Online and Research Online, which provides labour market intelligence within Scotland.

Steven McGinty, Research Officer

Steven joined the Knowledge Exchange in 2013. He is responsible for maintaining coverage of regeneration, as well as technology issues which affect delivery of public services. Steven has a postgraduate diploma in Information and Library Studies from the University of Strathclyde and an LLB (Hons) Law degree from Glasgow Caledonian University.
